Noooooooo, Lisa, you have ruined the Brude avatar for me forever! He doesn't look like a zombie! He looks all smoldering and moody and stuff! Is it just the coloration? I think that avatar was from the first Araphel chapter, "A living body is claimed". The lighting is rather greenish in that one:

I just enabled Avatar Selection administration for authenticated users, so you can upload new Avatars for the benefit of others now. (You always could upload your own custom avatar to your own account.) I can't enable only-uploading so technically you can also administer avatar permissions and even delete them, so I will have to trust you all to behave. (Else I will send the Perv Leofric and Zombie Brude after you, and if you're really bad I may even unleash an Imin avatar.) I also reserve the right to delete them and/or modify them if you offend my sensibilities, but that's not easy to do, as Perv Leofric proves.

Safari! Curses! This really is sounding like my job. We never test on Safari until the last minute, and then Doh!

Can you turn off JavaScript, and does it help? I have a Mac at home (or rather my husband does) but I am afraid to touch it. So I never tested with Safari. DOH!

I tested on Safari at home -- editing Alred's account, anyway -- and it worked. So.. I don't know. But I couldn't figure out how to disable Javascript either. Maybe another Mac user can advise.

But it seems to me you've been able to edit your account before, since you had another avatar before. Do you remember when you were last able to edit your account? (Or maybe was it another computer? ) I can try to figure out what I have changed or added since then.

If you're simply desperate to change your avatar, let me know and I can do it for you in the meantime.

The one on the right is from a chapter you haven't read yet... when Paul was unhappy about something Cat had done and a little stunned about something she had said. It's so hard to find a picture of Paul that doesn't look like a goat-faced boy.
