Vash's Hair, part 3

Several people came up with some really good ideas for Vash's head in the other post so it's time for Round Two.

I'm going to make a new poll so I'm sticking the "winners" of the last poll in here too.

[1] "My current pick", still liking this one:

[2] The "Osh-style ponytail", still liking this one too, even though he looks like a geek in this picture. I may use this one as a different hairstyle for him if I go for [1] or one of the other longer styles:

[3] The "Ponytail mullet" Penelope proposed, from raonjenasims2. It is pretty sweet. Vash is condemned to mullet-head for a while, anyway, since he's growing his hair out, and you know I have a weakness for elf ears just barely visible behind a veil of hair. Check! The texture is a little too plasticky but I think I could live with that. It also does look like the back of his skull shrank a little. Bonus points for not cutting through the ear, though:

[4] "Front-view only 1" I love this one from the front, but from the side it looks like he cut it himself. With toenail clippers:

[5] "Front-view only 2" Again I like this one from the front, but from the side it is several kinds of weird. -10 points for cutting through the ear. The texture is not so great either. But from the front...

[6] "Short ponytail thingo" (in the words of Verity, since I believe the correct word is "thingie" but I'm guessing lots of words in Australia have to rhyme with "dingo"). Now, I do like this hair. Cedric, for instance, would be cute in this hair. But turn him sideways and OUCH! -50 points. I can't even photoshop this into decency, sadly, not that I enjoy editing pictures with photoshop due to hair. (E.g. Osh's darn ponytail.)

[7] The "Lost my will to live, or at least to comb my hair" look, which is rather Vashy if I may say so. This could also be his pajama/underwear-hair if I go for something a little neater for everyday:

[8] "Boring wispy hair" I don't have any comment to make about this one, except that it has no flaws. It's not significantly longer than his last cut, but it is nice and, uh, wispy.

[9] "The flip" OK it is a little girly, but actually I really like this one. No? It's another one that doesn't lose any points, it still has a bit of the Oh-so-Vash hair in the eye, and it is definitely growing out. I could mix it up with one of the ponytail styles, too:

You're not going to believe this but i saw a vanity license tag today that said "Vash". The driver was an elderly woman with large glasses. I'm thinking that Vash was maybe her nickname or surname or initials or something. But it was still quite awesome.

Haha, Join the club. Mine expired in January and I didn't know until a couple of weeks ago when I was running late to board a flight. TSA decided that my expired license made me a security threat so I had to go through extra screening. Airport security is so useless.

Mine is expiring around now... stupid license! I had one that lasted for longer but then it got stolen... twice! When I first moved here our student room got robbed and it was in my bag. Eventually it found it's way to a police station and they managed to send it back to Australia instead of here. Then, when I was in Milan I got pickpocketed and it went off on its second adventure. Meh. When I was back in Oz I tried to get a new one but because I am on the last stage of my provisional learning license (it takes like 4 years in Australia now) they would only give me one till June. Meh.

Anyways enough whingeing, back to Vash. I think your original choices are still the best, although I had to laugh so hard at "Lost my will to live, or at least to comb my hair". That one is pretty good too. In a messy emo way which does suit him. It makes him look younger than the other ones, but I kind of like the older looking Vash. And also seeing his face is quite a nice change

Niiice, now he can have "lost my will to live when he just tumbles out of bed, and now he can use the "Man I just gotta flip my hair back, but I can't because the tears have plastered it to my face" look as his everything else thing! That hair is awesome! It is like Vash, version "Lost my will to live, or at least to cut my hair". It is just his usual hair left to its own devices! So forlorn!

I am afraid it will cut through the ear, I just know there will be a problem.

Also, did you guys see this??? I think I am in love. (If you download it, make sure you scroll farther down in the thread to get the mesh with the neck-gap fixed.) I don't know who to use it on, but I will find someone. Nay, I will make someone if I must. Because this valley does not yet have enough men I want to make out with, and who want to make out with Connie.

Argh, long-over-the-eye hair probably will cut through the ear! It may even separate at the neck. Hmm I might try it out in my own game and see what happens.

Uncle Mustache!! Uncle Mustache!!!! Use the curly girly hair on him!! I just read over all the Vash/Baby posts, and all I thought when Baby was caught in the cave when her uncle "mustache" came up to her "Wow, I wonder how long it takes for him to gussy up in the morning?" I swear, he must use gallons of hair gel or some leafy goop elves use in order to get his hair perfectly curly! My hair is curly, and it never gets that symmetrical! He needs a sissy hairstyle. Who else.... OH! CONRAD! He needs an original hairstyle and by golly, there one staring at us between the eyes! *Excitement!*

EDIT: It does have a gap. shoot. It looks okay head on, side to side, and tilted, but you can see the sim's teeth through the gap in the back... wow.

Is that worse than ear-slicing? I think it would be easier to shoot around and/or photoshop a neck gap of that nature. I will check it out myself, umm, prob. this weekend. Did you try with elf ears?

I can't change Conrad's hair now! It has already become a plot element... twice already. (Leila pointing out to Margaret how he might know how to braid hair, since his is so long, and Alred saying he would like hair like Conrad's.) So... I will keep thinking.

Here wait a sec.. *fights with sister to get off the computer* Tell you in ten minutes...

EDIT: Okay, it looks okay with elf ears, but they sorta stick out, but in a good way, tree-y,and just the tips on normal sized elf ears, almost nothing on tiny ones. And, my camera went really weird and now the teeth problem corrected itself... There is a smaller gap, but the wisps sorta hide it... It seems it looks better now with a reload, so it looks like it looks nice on all sides. Overall, I give it a 3.5 our of 5 stars! Hm, how do you upload photos from the game without making a story? Them I could show you. But, to bed with me! It's 10:25, and I have finals, so goodnight everyone!
