I like Aia with braids, she really looks like the barely-18 year-old girl she is. (I can't wait to see what google searches I have just attracted with that text.) Suddenly all on her own, taking care of a baby by herself.

And now I am officially tired of decorating domestic interiors! In the past month or two I've done two taverns, Cat's kitchen, Aia's house, Drileu's house, Ffraid's house, and probably some others that aren't coming to mind. Just how many bread & cheese plates do I have actually??

Whoa, I got the weirdest sense of deja vu when I read this thread this morning. I stared at the date to make sure I wasn't somehow reading a really old thread. Very strange.

I think it's just the slanted eyes. I find that her eyes are a little too far up on her head too, I may fix that later.

But anyway, it's OK with me if she looks a little alien, since she's a different species after all. Lena looks a little strange too.

Yes Lena's eyes are little slanted too. Though Sela's eyes were not as slanted as Aia's if I recall she did look more asian than alien like. Actually both Aia and Sela look asian.

But if I had made a supposedly-English character who looked like that, I would have changed them, so the only reason they got to stay that way was because they were elves and could look like anything. So I was probably playing around in CAS and just stuck with something I liked.

Just the words "Dark Crystal" made me have this weird childhood flashback, reactivating neural pathways that have lain dormant for twenty years. I didn't even remember there was such a thing as The Dark Crystal... and then suddenly I did.

The baby is wearing the swaddlng clothes from InSim. (Medieval recolors available on mts2.)

In fact I wouldn't have left the baby in swaddling clothes if I had remembered they were active. It's a global mod, so for as long as it's in your downloads folder, all babies in the game will have them. Five months is a little old to be swaddled though. (On the other hand, I am really sick of almost-naked babies in all weather...)

Oh, God, the Dark Crystal. I saw it once as a little kid and it scarred me forever. I should probably watch it again now that I'm all grown up and all...to conquer my fear or something. Hah.

Totally had to Wikipedia that. I guess it was a little before my time--which is a kind of a shame, because it seems like the sort of thing I would have enjoyed as a small child (I was a rather odd little girl). I should watch it sometime, just to indulge the remnants of my younger self.

Aia's house is 6x9 which is bigger than some houses I have built. Even Gunnilda's first house may have been smaller than that. But 6x9 is the smallest I can go with my thatched roof.

Sigefrith's castle is necessarily the biggest I've built so far, since it's the first one where I've run out of walls! But Nothelm is giving it a run for its money.
