The most Phwoar-worthy man of Lothere
Submitted by Verity on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 14:15.
I feel a little bad starting a topic when I haven't finished reading the comments from the others (let alone the story ack... so far behind in everything!). But I really want to anyway.
So I will start I guess... as you all already know I am in love with Brude (even though he is dead... which is a little strange I guess. Actually rather a lot stranger since he is a sim and therefore was never alive). But anyway. He is in my opinion the hottest man of the valley. But this is followed exceedingly closely by Malcom and his fine butt. It is almost so close it's a draw but there is just something about Brude. But Malcom is definitely the kind of man who would be able to seduce me with one wiggle of his eyebrow. These two are followed at the rear (oh dear... that's probably not he most apt choice of words) but Leofric who is sexy as all get out too. Oh wait... and there is also Ris and of course the sexy mad man. Maybe I just like naughty men.
But really there are so many good-looking Lotherian lads it is difficult to choose... Young Sigefrith, Ethelwyn... the list is endless. But if I had to say top three it would be Brude, Older Malcom and Leofric.
So what do you guys think? It will be interesting to compare

I definitely agree with you
Submitted by Cassie on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 15:46.I definitely agree with you about Magog. He and his fine butt are a dish. Most of Dantalion's guises are pretty hot.
Ethelwyn's definitely cute, but he's a little too "pretty" for me, personally. Sir Sigefrith is definitely dishy, and Dunstan has been looking really hot lately. Father Matthew and Malo are both gorgeous. And Leofric definitely has that pervy sexiness thing going on. And Vash is totally beautiful, but still in a "manly" (or..."elfly") way.
If I actually lived in Lothere, I think I would be most likely to fall for Egelric. He's got the bad-guy thing, but also incredible emotional depth and a genuinely wounded soul. He's also hilarious at times...although lately he's been more of a dirty old man. Maybe Egelric at about 30.

Submitted by stacysaurus on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 17:50.uhm... Kormak Though we haven't seen him much. But I like what I've seen.
Haha other than that... hmm, I also like young Sigefrith Also Beddie looks like he will grow up to be a pretty man, but I guess it'll be some years before we see what he'll look like then.
Who would have thought of
Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 19:58.Who would have thought of Beddie? Nice one, stacysaurus. (It's not just because of his nudist tendencies is it?)
So, I have thought about this long and hard, all the way home and all the way through my pile of dishes, and I have to say... it's impossible to pick one. I'm not even sure what PHWOAR means, but if it's the kind of swoon-inducing sexiness that makes the Sim ladies fan themselves with their hands...
I would have to say it's a tie between Magog and Leofric. Even though Ethelwyn and Vash are more handsome in a Greek statue way. Malcolm and Leofric are even rather ugly... Malcolm has the caterpillar eyebrows, and of course The Nose, and Leofric has those big lips of his. Nevertheless they have that certain something.
Leofric makes some absolutely smoldering faces at Hetty in "Leofric issues his command" (interestingly, it seems that his most seductive glances came when she was not looking at him)... And Look at Malcolm in "Malcolm is outnumbered" and just try to resist him and his kilt! And Egelric isn't looking too bad himself there.
I think young Sigefrith is slightly more physically attractive than his father (you haven't even seen him in "Caedwulf takes his first steps" yet, Verity), but he lacks the keen mind, and he also lacks that streak of badness.
And maybe I'm the only one but I thought Sebastien was hot, when he wasn't all whiny and grumpy. The newest Araphel incarnation is quite something, too.
I'm not too excited about Malo... there's something a little androgynous about him, even though I love to look at him (and take tons of pictures of him)... just not what I find attractive, at least not in a way that makes me go PHWOAR!
And -- I think I've said it before -- but I would make out with Lar. I love his profile and mouth. But, it is true, I also find Imin attractive in a creepy sort of way. (Also he is shorter than me which is usually a turn-off, sorry short guys, and that includes you, Alred.)
I think Vash's friend Tashnu is about to bust out and get all sexy and bad on us, so that's another one to watch for.
And young Malcolm! Especially with his new skin. And how hot was Murchad the last time we saw him? And Father Matthew? And yes, yes, Brude too, though he's fairly far down on my list. I never meant him to be attractive at all.
I think Cubby is going to be a stunner. I don't know about Cedric since my only adult-aged photos of him are super-blurry, but he seems to have gotten the best features of his parents so I'm sure he'll look good.
And let's not even get into all of the many Scots of Aed's clan whom I have made and put up in the bio pages but not otherwise introduced into the story.
But if I were going to fall in love with someone, it would probably be Egelric, too, or maybe a Vash or a young Malcolm. Someone attractive, smart, and trustworthy. I wouldn't trust Leofric or Magog not to break my heart. Speaking hypothetically, of course, since I doubt a Malcolm or a Leofric would even be interested in me if I went to Lothere as myself. If Leofric whipped out the "One Man" speech on me, however, I would probably melt.
Oh, I didn't even mention Dantalion! I think he was best in his madman guise, even though it was just Dre with facial hair. I find Cian attractive in a way, but there is something too something about his face... too refined, too cold. I think it is a wonderful body for Dantalion though, just the thing he would have picked.
Oh, I forgot about Lar...I
Submitted by Cassie on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 20:06.Oh, I forgot about Lar...I have a total sim-crush on Lar. His profile is amazing. And I think Cubby is going to be totally gorgeous.
I see what you mean about Malo, though. I guess he's not really "hot" so much as "lovely to gaze upon." Still, he has such an expressive face with such sadness in the eyes...
That's good to know, I was
Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 20:09.That's good to know, I was thinking I was the only one who had a thing for Lar. I've gotten more people to admit they found Imin sexy than Lar. Even though they probably want to remain anonymous.
Will no one put in a good
Submitted by Bonnie_Laurel on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 21:12.Will no one put in a good word for Alred? I know he's been a total (!@&# up this past while, but I remember way back when I was soooo jealous of Matilda. Even now... of all the Lothere men, he's probably the one I'd go for.
Though I'm also really partial to Ethelwyn, and Paul. Guess I'm the lone voice in favor of the good guys. Lar though...
I would probably have to go
Submitted by Choco on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 23:01.I would probably have to go with Shus/August. I know we haven't got to see him that often but when we do, yum! Maybe it's the strong, silent thing he has going on.
Young Malcolm has been quite 'Phwoar' worthy himself. I'd probably have to also go with. I adore Alred's personality so that's pretty 'Phwoar' as well but I'd still be happy to be his friend as well. Something about Sir Sigefrith's face is so sweet that it's really physically appealing. I'm sure that there are more that I can't think of right now (it's a little after one A.M.) so I'll be sure to add as I remember more.
Phwoar definition -
Submitted by Verity on Wed, 02/13/2008 - 23:33.Phwoar definition - [pronounced f-wor] Expression of appreciation, usually in a sexual manner - eg "Phwoar!
I just looked up a definition for you... I hadn't seen it before but I guess it is fairly apt (although now I feel rather dodgy as it seems I have been appreciating sims in a sexual manner ). I don't know where I got it from but it seems to have been around my whole life since we were saying phwoar at Elijah Wood back when he was in Flipper! Goodness me. I had a bet with my friend for $1 as to who would be the first one to marry him. And now he is Frodo. Wonders will never cease.
I had forgotten Young Malcom. If I was going to fall in love with anyone in Lothere it would be him, though I don't know whether he would want me. He has almost all the sexiness and phwoarness off Malcom the elder but he is actually a good guy and you know he would go to the ends of the earth for you.
If Leofric decided he was my one man though I really don't think I could refuse
And lets just say if I had a Brude/Bastien/Araphel angel fathering my children I would not be listening to Osh with his pretty words and paintings.
I seem to agree with almost
Submitted by Nimue on Thu, 02/14/2008 - 08:33.I seem to agree with almost everyone here - Leofric is probably the man I would be most attracted to. His past record with women, however, leaves a bit to be desired, so unless I was Hetty I do not know if I would trust him. Alred, however, I could see myself actually marrying, no matter the height difference. A sense of humor combined with gallantry? How nice. Maybe I just go for the quiet poetic types too, who knows. I would of course mention Cedric, but I am not sure what he will look like when he grows up. From what I do know now he looks promising!
And as for other attractive and phwoar worthies: Paul, Magog, Young Sigefrith...
If it weren't for the fact
Submitted by Cassie on Thu, 02/14/2008 - 09:52.If it weren't for the fact that he will never ever get over Matilda, I'd marry Alred in a heartbeat. Even with his recent actions. So he's 42 and I'm 18? Don't care, I'd still marry him. But then if it weren't for his great love, I don't know if he'd seem so wonderful.
Thank god I don't have to
Submitted by Cearbhaill on Thu, 02/14/2008 - 22:01.Thank god I don't have to pick just one! I don't think that would be possible. I think Sirs Sigefrith and Malcolm would probably be my top two if you include the whole package. They are both trustworthy, gorgeous, and not devoid of intelligence. And young Sigefrith in "Caedwulf takes his first steps" *swoon* I won't say more since Verity hasn't gotten there yet. I think Dunstan would probably be up there if he were taller. While blondes don't usually catch my eye, Eirik makes it onto my list. Growing up amongst tall men (my dad is 6'4", the rest of the males are all over 6'), I like 'em tall even though I consider myself short.
Leofric and the elder Malcolm both have that magnetic quality that just is... wow. But overall, they wouldn't be my choice as someone to attempt making any type of long-term thing with. They do serve nicely as eye candy though (except that avatar of Leof, that's not so nice to look at),
Murchad was definitely looking swoon-worthy last time we saw him (when do we get to see those *identical twins*!?!?!). I think Cearball shows some nice potential. Brude, unfortunately, has been slightly ruined for me. And I will admit that I also find Lar quite make-out worthy also, going on looks alone.
And now I'm looking forward to seeing Araphel's new body even more- though I fear knowing how it was created may have the same effect as it did for his Brude incarnation.
Hmmmm I'd have to say I'm
Submitted by Taryn on Fri, 02/15/2008 - 00:42.Hmmmm I'd have to say I'm totally google eyed about Kiv/Paul, he is soooooo hot. I dunno, I guess its that smoldering blonde hair/blue eye look he has going for him. I've always been a sucker for blue eyes, odd that my hubby actually has brown eye's. If I could get him to do eye surgery I probably would, but I love him all the same.
Second up though has to be Dunstan, he's got that dark sexy look about him. Even though at one stage I found him to be highly irritating coz of his attitude, but we've long since passed that stage. Yip, I'd about say those two are my top most Phwoar-worthy men in Lothere. Ahhhh to be a pixel in Lothere, stand back Cat - you'd have some compitition
Oooh, I forgot about
Submitted by Cassie on Fri, 02/15/2008 - 09:55.Oooh, I forgot about Murchad. He's a looker for sure. And a great personality, too - I love the shy ones!
There I must approve. For
Submitted by François on Sat, 02/16/2008 - 00:19.There I must approve. For now, my favorite is Murchad because he has some simple and enigmatic beauty. He's shy so we doesn't know a lot about him. On the contrary, we now read in Leofric minds like in a book (and this is a creepy book then). And I like Paul too, but he seems week with his fine fair hair and I prefer the dark ones. First time I saw Murchad I said Phwoar so it's him. Go Murchad !
(I also think Malcolm and Vash are quite cute too)
I never been much attracted
Submitted by Lothere on Sat, 02/16/2008 - 06:00.I never been much attracted to blonds either. They do seem a bit weak and watery to me, somehow, no offense to any blond(e)s out there. I prefer darker men, like Mediterranean dark. That probably has a little something to do with this nest of dark-skinned Scots up north. (The fact that the Sidhe are sometimes said to be dark is just lucky for me.) But I won't deny that Paul has had his moments of extreme hotness.
I find it interesting that a few people have mentioned Dunstan. Dunstan! Maybe it is the shortness thing again. Or maybe because he seems a little too clean-cut now with his hair pulled back and all. But I suppose he is more handsome than his father. He is said to resemble Matilda more than Alred:
Still, perhaps it is only memories of his extreme teenager-ness from recent past, but I find Dunstan just a bit too silly to be phwoar-worthy.
*I* mentioned Dunstan's
Submitted by Cassie on Mon, 02/18/2008 - 13:22.*I* mentioned Dunstan's cuteness! It's true that he is more handsome than Alred, though I feel like a total traitor saying that. He certainly was so recently silly that that affects his phwoar-ness now...maybe in a couple of years!
I agree with you on the blonde thing, I think it's tough to pull off - particularly for men.
There are so many to choose
Submitted by Sonia on Tue, 02/19/2008 - 11:15.There are so many to choose from, it's really hard to pick just one.
Oh to be a Sim, pixels and all.
Hmm, odd that you should mention Imin there. Yes, he's a bad guy, but those eyes of his hold you fast and keep you there.
Paul/Kiv is just hmmmm, yummy, and Cubby is going to be soooo gorgeous, with those huge eyes of his.
But for now, Malo is the one that holds my heart, with his expressive face and genteel manner.
The latest incarnation of Araphael though, is worth a second glance too, especially with that wolfish smile, so reminiscent of his dad Egelric.
He's going to be one Sim worth keeping an eye on in the future.
I think Araphel is going to
Submitted by Lothere on Tue, 02/19/2008 - 11:28.I think Araphel is going to shave off some or all of that beard in an attempt to look less like the Old Devil, so I am curious to see how that will turn out. He seems to have his father's chin.
Another vote for Malo! My stars! Malo would never make me sit up say PHWOAR! but I admit I could stare into his eyes for a while. In fact, I admit I do stare into his eyes... every time I take pictures for a chapter with Malo in it, I end up with all these useless close-ups of Malo's face!
Yes I must say I am already
Submitted by Verity on Sat, 02/23/2008 - 14:32.Yes I must say I am already quite enamoured with Araphel's latest incarnation. There is something about a big, burly, beardy man that really appeals to me too. Although I guess I my original idea of being attracted to a particular type is fairly unrealistic since I am now going out with a tall, skinny Swede. I think my type probably changes depending on who I am in love with therefore I obviously don't really have a type after all
Young Malcolm hands down. I
Submitted by Karen on Sun, 02/24/2008 - 07:07.Young Malcolm hands down. I love the older Malcolm, too, but, like many of you have mentioned, he wouldn't stick around. I don't think that he'd ever love me enough. For that matter, I don't see young Malcolm loving anyone but Iylaine. Which is why I'm Team Malcolm; if he can't be with Iylaine, the only person I want him getting with is a Sim Me!
I'd definitely have to say
Submitted by Lady F on Mon, 02/25/2008 - 11:13.I'd definitely have to say Vash.
He's just such a hero! The way he used to spend time with Iylaine even though he wasn't allowed to, aww, that was so sweet.
And then with the emo-hair he's always got going on, he's just really, *really* drool worthy.
Aside from Vash, young Malcolm is pretty drool worthy too; I don't think it's the nose though. Maybe it's 'cause he's so smart, he always knows what's going on.
And!
Imin and Dantalion.
Yes, Imin >.<
Maybe all of these four guys have something in common, hmm.
I'll think about that later when I shouldn't be doing homework!
That avatar of snarly Vash
Submitted by Lothere on Mon, 02/25/2008 - 11:27.That avatar of snarly Vash is quite something. I agree Vash has his sexy moments.
And Imin! Can I hear a PHWOAR for Imin, people? I think I need to do an Imin: Perv or Hottie poll, just to compare with Leofric.
I don't think Vash has
Submitted by Lady F on Tue, 02/26/2008 - 08:00.I don't think Vash has anything *but* sexy moments.
He can even look drool worthy when he's snarling! *swoon*
And haha, I got so happy when I saw Imin got his own poll, wewt!
Lothere, there's just something about your elves, they're so.. Phwoar-worthy

Submitted by Lady F on Tue, 02/26/2008 - 09:55.Yeah, that's a good one - I really love the lighting in this picture and then just his whole facial expression.
I can't place the picture, though ):
Some day, I'll read Lothere again, and more slowly. I sort of read really fast through all of it cause I just *needed* to get to the end.
I haven't done the story justice in doing it like that.
Oh, and then I love how Vash always manage to carry himself like he really is the crown-prince-sort-of-of-the-elves.
And now I'll stop talking about Vash, honest.
Sorry, I usually try to link
Submitted by Lothere on Tue, 02/26/2008 - 10:00.Sorry, I usually try to link back to the sources of pictures. That one is from "Egelric leans the difference between dogs and wolves":
Vash has certainly had his moments.
Damnit damnit, now I read
Submitted by Lady F on Tue, 02/26/2008 - 11:01.Damnit damnit, now I read that chapter just 'cause Vash was in it!
Look what you're making me do.
That chapter where Iylaine meets Kiv (Iylaine meets another cousin or something like that), I used to have that bookmarked.
Loved the way Vash acted in that one, and Kiv was a cutie ^^
Oh, am I still keeping you
Submitted by Lothere on Tue, 02/26/2008 - 11:12.Oh, am I still keeping you from your homework even after you finished the story?
I like "Iylaine meets another cousin" too... nice to see Vash looking rumpled with a bit of stubble. Kiv was cute, too, but it still annoys me that I was not able to keep his hair the same color when I "upgraded" him in more recent times. I love his new hair so much though, it was worth it.
Dunstan's allure, at least
Submitted by Cearbhaill on Thu, 02/28/2008 - 21:30.Dunstan's allure, at least for me, actually stems a bit from his silly and romantic side. It's all a matter of being drawn to what I'd like to see a little more of in real life. I've spent 9 years with a boy who is serious and doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. Plus, he is rather attractive, even if he is like, an inch taller than me.
I'm just noticing this post!
Submitted by PenelopetheFox on Fri, 06/06/2008 - 12:16.I'm just noticing this post! And I haven't read all of the comments but I suspect that my choice for hottest guy is probably not a popular one- Osh. Obviously he doesn't have the looks of an Ethelwyn or a Cearball but that personality! He's gentle, silly, pensive, sensitive and loyal but hard and cold when he needs to be. He always knows what to say. He's passionate but in control of his emotions. He takes action whenever he is needed. He's great. I could marry a guy like that.
My lists: Existing
Submitted by Sofie on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 10:02.My lists:
Existing characters
1. Malcolm junior (Sir Malcolm) - all that intelligence and those eyes... makes me melt. The only thing I would want to change (except his love for Iylaine) is his nose.
2. Eirik - of the present day. Back before he started loving Sigi, he was just a bully. Now he is just wonderful.
3. Duncan - also of the present day. He grew into something real nice.
Alred doesn't have the looks, but he would win my heart anyway so he's worth mentioning even if he doesn't get a place on the list.
Up and coming (maybe?/hopefully)
1. The Old Man - I love him! I loooove him. Please, please, please don't make him into an alcoholic bastard. I hope he'll look more like Dunstan than like Alred when he grows up.
2. Harald Pinknose - yeah, I know, he's like 3 years old, but I have high hopes for that one. His parents are such wonderful characters.
3. Finn - He looks a lot better than his father, and in a few years he might start behaving like an adult. Thought hopefully not like his father or mother.
I hope I don't come off as a pedophile here but I really felt like the old man needed to be mentioned. I think he's my favorite character right now, so I do hope he grows up to be PHWOAR-worthy.
Others
Brude was beautiful, and the Mad Man on the beach made me write my first comment by being so hot.
About a few of the other characters mentioned in this thread:
I could never in a million years fall for either of Egelric or Leofric. They're awful and disgusting. Egelric doesn't even look good at all. I really feel for Gwynn whenever she's horrified by her dream. And about Imin, when is he ever a hottie? He's short and ugly and disgusting. Yuck. Ethelwyn doesn't do much for me either, but he's more meek than disgusting.
Long reply, guess I have a lot to say about the looks.
1. Young Malcolm... but the
Submitted by Lothere on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 11:09.1. Young Malcolm... but the nose makes him Malcolm! I wouldn't change a thing on him, except give him his chest hair back after I changed his skin. But then I guess we have already determined I have a thing for men with big noses. (And body hair.)
2. Eirik... funny, I am not too much into Eirik. I love him as a character but he doesn't seem like my type. Still it must be awesome to be loved the way Sigi is loved. He has kind of a horsey face too.
3. Duncan... you mean Dunstan? Young Mr. Clean-Cut. Yeah he's cute. A little silly though. Again not my type.
1. The Old Man ... I love that you thought of him. He is the most adorable creature ever, I just wonder how he'll be when he gets older. Sadly he really is the spitting image of his father, though I suppose with a different hairstyle and different beard he might be something different. (Alred is kind of cute though.) He'll also be taller, which gains him points with me. He seems like he will have kissable lips someday, and OH! those curls. I do not think he will ever be a bastard, even if he becomes an alcoholic. But there is plenty of room for him to become a tragic figure.
2. Harald... horse-face again. I have seen him grown up, and he is a lot more Eirik than Sigi. He has nice coloring though.
3. Finn... OK I can swoon with you there. He's like Egelric, except a bit more gracefully built, and maybe nicer and friendlier too. He is Egelric refined. And he has THE NOSE. With FRECKLES. And he has the Vash hair too, which would be fun to sweep out of his eyes.
I never really saw the big attraction in Brude. He was a warm on the scale of hotness. I thought Sebastien was going to be super-sexy but he ended up being rather frail and cranky. I loved him anyway though. Fergus totally blows Brude away though. THE NOSE! THE ATTITUDE! He is like Egelric... in a perpetually good humor.
I guess I can understand why you don't like Egelric, Leofric, and Imin... if you don't like one, you probably won't like any. (In increasing order of not-liking-ness.) Obviously some girls find bad boys attractive. And I think, all three of them, there is a real primal sexuality to them that is so seductive, especially after one has had a beer or three. They all have that swaggering self-confidence, and give you the impression that they could take you or leave you, and if they do take you, it's something of an honor. I don't really know how to explain it better than that. Obviously your rational self may wake up next to them in the morning and wonder WHAT HAVE I DONE???? (In increasing order of WHAT-HAVE-I-DONE-liness.) But -- I'm sure -- WHAT A NIGHT!
However, if the Bad Boy angle doesn't turn you on, then you're wise to stay away. We should probably add Magog to that list, too. Somewhere between Egelric and Leofric in terms of Badness. Or maybe before Egelric, since Egelric has his sick and twisted moments, except that Egelric has also proven that he is capable of loving a woman and committing to a relationship. Magog is just a heart-breaker with a fine butt and a ginormous nose.
Yeah, I LOVE Eirik, but not
Submitted by Cassie on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 11:21.Yeah, I LOVE Eirik, but not in a PHWOAR! way at all.
And Egelric! Egelric! He's our hero. I do not have a thing for Imin at all, and not really for Leofric either - he goes from sexy badboy into dirty old pervert for me - but Egelric. His nobility, his dignity, his inner suffering, his toughness. I even love his rugged face with the giant nose.
Personally, young Malcolm never did that much for me. He's fantastic, but he was always a little whiny for me. And second-guessing everything, at least when it comes to Iylaine. (And I say that while having been Team Malcolm pretty much from the getgo.) Magog, on the other hand...
Brude? Eh, he was good-looking, but I've never been a big one for freckles. Or redheads.
I am a big fan of Fergus already.

Yeh know... Of Lothere's bad
Submitted by PenelopetheFox on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 11:26.Yeh know... Of Lothere's bad boys, I only find Egelric attractive. I love Leofric and Magog but they just don't do it for me. Leof is too much of a brute and Magog is too flighty. Magog is the kind of guy that stands on street corners smelling of motor oil, holding a beer and a cigarette in the same hand, wearing a sleeveless shirt that shows off his tats and trying to chat up underaged girls.
And am I the only one who likes Sir Sigefrith? I know that he's sorta intellectually bankrupt but he's so good-looking and so sweet.
Sir Sigefrith is hot, but
Submitted by Cassie on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 11:33.Sir Sigefrith is hot, but he's just missing that pull, that sharpness. He's too simple. Not stupid - just simple. No edge, no mystery to try to figure out. Wynflaed is perfect for him, I think. But I agree that Egelric is my favorite of the bad boys, even though Magog is awfully PHWAOR.
Penelope, your updated Magog is perfect.

Dunstan, of course.. typo..
Submitted by Sofie on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 14:52.Dunstan, of course.. typo..
But that's sort of what I like about Eirik. And the fact that he's a big boy (and I don't see anything horsey in his face). But there's just something different with him. He's got the funnies. Humor and intelligence are deal breakers for me. I'm not saying Egelric doesn't, and I'd probably like him more if he looked better, and I did like him around the time of the Egelric/Gunnie drama, but it's been downhill since then.
I wouldn't put Magog with the other three either. Somehow, though I can't explain why, he and Eirik just seem more loving and caring and less.. violent.
Like I said: I love Eirik.
Submitted by Cassie on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 17:20.Like I said: I love Eirik. And I think his awesomeness would probably make up for the lack of natural physical attraction I would have for him. He and Sigrid are one of my all-time favorite couples - right up there with Alred and Matilda and Egelric and Lili.

Cassie I think Sir Sigefrith
Submitted by Lothere on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 18:21.Cassie I think Sir Sigefrith may be developing just a bit of sharpness. Last time we saw him, in "Caedwulf takes his first steps", he stared down Whitehand. He'll never be brilliant, and you'll never find him shut up in his study reading books as his father occasionally does, but especially considering the uneducated times, he still has the potential to be a worthy Leofricsson. There is no doubt he is Phwoar-worthy though. With looks like that he doesn't need to make interesting conversation.
Sofie, Eirik seems to have that swaggering self-confidence, but I think we've seen into his insecurities a little too much. Or at least I have... I believe the extent to which Eirik's swagger is an act will become more and more apparent to us. But he is so damned convincing to anyone who can't see inside his head. He does strike fear into the hearts of mortal men. But the primal sexuality is missing, if you ask me. Anyway, he is so perfectly matched to Sigi... their relationship is so brilliant I don't even want to imagine myself interposing. But I do agree, Eirik is seriously awesome. I have a lot of interesting plans involving that tall horse.
So funny that you notice Egelric's ugliness though. He must have a lot of inner phwoar, because I don't even notice the ugliness at all. He just blows me away with his charisma. But obviously, if you are immune to that...
I agree there's nothing violent or twisted about Magog, which Egelric and Imin and Leofric all have. I guess I would rather be Magog's flavor of the week than Egelric's filthy slut. (Or Imin's rape victim. Or Leof's punching bag.) But if you can crack through Egelric's shell and install yourself in his heart, that's a pretty safe place to be. I wouldn't trust Magog in that way. Flighty doesn't begin to describe him.
Now that I think about it, both Eirik and Alred are the kind of guys I would like to be married to, assuming I got to be their Sigi or Matilda of course. Very passionate with the right woman, which sort of makes up for the fact that I don't find them extraordinarily attractive. But "I guess I would like to be married to them" is not the definition of PHWOAR!
Also, I would like to belatedly second Penelope's Osh phwoar. I know he is not the most popular fellow around here, especially seeing how he treated Aia, but there is something about him. He seems so harmless and mild, telling his little jokes, putzing around in his garden or painting little birds and flowers on the walls, but it seems like if you are unfortunate enough to make Osh mad it is going to be like holy shit sackcloth and ashes Armageddon time. That is pretty sexy in an "I want him on my team" way. He is so badass he can permit himself to paint flowers on his furniture.
Also, I don't know why, but from what we've seen of him with Flann, I suspect mild-mannered, joke-telling, eyebrow-wiggling, flower-painting, garden-putzing Osh is actually very good in bed. So let's hear a little phwoar for Osh while we're on the subject. And for Paul, too, since it seems like 97 percent of you are using Paul as your avatar.
Paul is my avatar because he
Submitted by PenelopetheFox on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 18:33.Paul is my avatar because he reminds me of my boyfriend not so much in looks (though the boyfriend is the blonde, blue-eyed, baby-faced sort) but quite a bit in personality.
Plus, I just love the harsh lighting and the intense look on Paul's face! Classic.
No need to justify yourself,

I am once again the odd one
Submitted by Devin on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 18:39.I am once again the odd one out since I'm a guy reading about the sexiest men of Lothere.....
The ladies of Lothere that I find the most attractive are: Lathir, Sophie, Lena, Sela and Lasrua.
Poor Devin! Well I will
Submitted by Lothere on Tue, 08/05/2008 - 19:02.Poor Devin! Well I will join you in picking out pretty ladies.
I think the most beautiful creature in Lothere right now is Kraaia. Seriously. She has been a bitch lately, but oh my God that perfect hair and perfect lips and little freckles and luminous eyes. She's exquisite. Connie is also very pretty, with her mysterious greenish eyes, but mostly she's scrumptiously adorable with her "good sirs" and her "hippo-copamus" and her charming gravity and self-consciousness.
Lena is also very beautiful in her slanted-faced Siamese-cat-like way. And such a lovely person.
I have always loved Flann's looks with her very prominent, pointed chin and full lips and dark eyes, but it may be partly due to the gorgeousness of the Pixie Rust skin. The new Mouse is quite pretty for the same reason.
And Hetty. What can I say? She is so sadly beautiful, and no one seems to notice, starting with herself. All silvery and pale. So pretty.
And I really like Sigi too, I don't know why, since she's not really beautiful, is she? Something about the solidity of her small body, and her curves, and her lips, and her big manly eyebrows. She does seem like the perfect wife for making strong sons.
It's hard for me to work up a phwoar though, being a woman myself. Sorry!
I'll join in and comment on
Submitted by Sofie on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 03:39.I'll join in and comment on the ladies too. I agree with Devin about Sophie, Lena and Sela. Lena and Sela are beautiful and graceful and exquisite. Sophie is fiery and funny and sparkling. Maybe the sparkles are a bit dulled since Leofric started hitting her, but I think Stein will polish them up again.
But what about Matilda? She was so beautiful and cute at the same time. And her eyes.. I'd love to have those eyes! And her daughters have her beauty too, though I guess I'd be more inclined to fall for Meggie, because of her intelligence and charisma. And while we're on the subject of charismatic women, Cat is most definitely phwoar-worthy!
How could I forget
Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 04:34.How could I forget Matilda??? If ever a Lotherian lady deserved a PHWOAR! it was she.
I think Sophie is of the same sort as Egelric -- not really all that physically attractive, but you don't notice because of their persona. As she said to Stein:
Actually, not many characters do like Sophie... she is a little too brash. As she said in the same chapter: "That Sophie! Glad to see her come, and glad to see her go!" But we love her.
I forgot to mention, while we were on the subject of male phwoariness, that Leofric's nephews are both pretty hot.
I agree about Matilda.
Submitted by Cassie on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 08:16.I agree about Matilda. Kraaia is pretty much sim perfection, that is true. But Matilda had it all. Adorableness, cheeky toughness, a curvy bod, gorgeous face, sharp tongue and wit, sex appeal, and still had such a great-lady quality about her. She is Lothere's female PHWOAR for sure.
I love Sophie, too. She's a lot of fun. Lathir was incredibly beautiful, too, and had a certain dark mystique to her. And I think Iylaine is gorgeous - so aristocratic and haughty-looking. She has those beautiful full lips and elven features, and I love her long nose. All the better to look down on people! She and Rua are sort of similarly beautiful in that regard - plus Rua has that Angelina Jolie look about her, which is pretty much impossible to resist.
Lena is beautiful, but that sharpness is kind of missing from her. It's hard to find such a completely good and utterly sweet person "hot."
Sela and Aia are both very lovely in that exotic, almost Asian-looking way. I think Aia might be even more beautiful, but that may just be better picture quality.
I think Hetty is just stunning. I never noticed how beautiful she was until she put her hair up. So sadly beautiful, but with so much grace. Lili was more cute than beautiful, in my opinion.

Again... how could I forget
Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 08:41.Again... how could I forget Iylaine? I was just taking pictures with her the other day, and I was constantly being stunned by how beautiful her face is. So unique among the others. Such a queen she would have made. And she and Vash do make such beautiful babies.
I agree that Hetty is more beautiful than Lili. That's the thing with Lili... her personality was so brilliant and captivating that everyone thought she was the prettiest one. Alred did sort of notice it too, in the end, when he thought pale, perfect Hetty was the one who ought to have been named "Lily", while Lili could have been any pink and flashy flower.
And of course leave it to Leof to notice it as well. He was never fooled by Lili any more than Lili was fooled by him. Oh, Leof, Leof, what to do with you? *sigh*
Rua can be absolutely stunning from certain angles, but from others she has too pointy a chin I think. I can see Malcolm falling for a look like that though. I wonder what she will look like when she's grown.
I always thought that Afrais
Submitted by PenelopetheFox on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 19:59.I always thought that Afrais was about as beautiful as a sim could possibly get. But my favorite woman in Lothere (as far as personality is concerned) was probably Matilda.

Submitted by Cassie on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 20:24.Mine too, Penelope. (My two favorite ladies are both gone...now I know how Devin feels!) There are others I love too - Egelric & Alred, obviously, and Iylaine is far up there too, and Eirik and Siri. Also, as someone who has felt fragile and ill for quite a bit of her life, I relate to Wynflaed a lot, and really love her and sweet soulfulness.
Really, Matilda is seriously the female PHWOAR! She's just got it all.

Cassie I agree with you
Submitted by Devin on Wed, 08/06/2008 - 20:30.Cassie I agree with you about Aia and Sela looking exotic. I need to see more pictures of Aia to judge if she's more beautiful than her sister. Maybe its the graphics and hairstyles, Sela did wear the same dress and hairstyle for 4 years. If both women worn their hair up and perhaps worn a different color than brown they would be Asian Venuses.
I forgot to put Maud and Elfleda down especially Maud; she had this queenly look about her. We never got to see just how beautiful Elfleda was because of the graphics during those early years.
Oh How could I forget Sigi?
Submitted by PenelopetheFox on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 05:48.Oh How could I forget Sigi? She's like an action hero!
I also forgot Gunnilda, who was my favorite female character for a while.
The reason some men are more
Submitted by Lisa on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 05:54.The reason some men are more PHWOAR-worthy than others, even though they may not be as physically attractive, is because you just know that they will be awesome in bed.
If we're just talking about
Submitted by Lothere on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 06:01.If we're just talking about ladies we like, I could add a few more, but I was looking for that mysterious PHWOAR! quality. If Matilda is the definition of female PHWOAR! then I think we can agree that charming as they are, ladies like Wynflaed do not have much of it. (And that Margaret is probably going to be the phwoar of her age.)
I do think Action Hero Sigi has phwoar. That scene with her and the sword? Maybe if Aia turns out to be an Action Hero she will have it as well.
I always thought Affrais was perfection too -- as a teen. Somehow she seems to have gotten a little frumpy lately. That's OK though... married life agrees with her obviously. And she does have an awful lot of young kids to raise, since she has her husband's nieces and nephews.
Lothere, I nominate this for
Submitted by Ann on Thu, 10/01/2009 - 00:05.Lothere, I nominate this for the quotes:
I love Osh, and he definitely deserves a PHWOAR.
Other than him I agree with most of the comments postet. Leof and Malcolm the elder are definitely PHWOAR, though I personally would (try to) keep my distance. I think I read somewhere "Fire can warm you from a distance, but you get burned if you come too close." Fits my thoughts towards those two to a T.
About Lar I can somewhat understand, Lothere, although he doesn't do that much for me. I find him rather cute, but he would not be the one Lotherian I would want to make out with if I had the chance. And Imin is totally gross in my opinion. He sends a shiver down my back everytime I see him, and not in a good way.
Egelric has to be my favorite of the first-batch-Lotherians, if only he were not so messed up. Alred is more cute than PHWOAR, and Sigefrith is neither. And Egelric's sons are great! A big PHWOAR for Ferrrrrgus! And for Finn too. He may be young, but even without a beard and with that Emo-Peter Pan haircut he's already pretty hot.
Who else... Murchad is pretty hot, and so is Eirik (don't see no horsey face either....). Sir Malcolm goes without saying, with those eyes....
Shosudin is PHWOAR in the strong and silent way. Vash isn't my type at all, so no PHWOAR from me. Sorry guys, don't skewer me!
Quoted! It was fun to
Submitted by Lothere on Thu, 10/01/2009 - 04:56.Quoted!
It was fun to revisit this thread and see how my opinions have changed in the last year-and-a-half. This thread was started BEFORE Egelric's first sexual encounter with Maire. Even so, not much Lothere time has passed since then, but still... I feel quite silly now for saying that Margaret will be the PHWOAR-lady of her age. Not to say she won't be phwoary, but Gwynn is just busting out with phwoar lately. She'll be the one to inherit Matilda's crown of phwoar, I think, even if Britamund ends up with the ruby headdress.
Shus has gone way up on the PHWOAR-o-meter since we saw him shirtless in "Shosudin declares an end to the tyranny of tears."
Osh has gone up; Vash has stayed the same, with the sweetness of his interactions with Kraaia being balanced out by their creepiness.
Finn has gone UP UP UP and would probably be at the top of my list by now if he weren't still below the age of consent. Egelric has gone down a wee bit because he was just so awful, and then so pitifully resigned to his fate. But still, he's EGELRIC and you know the phwoar that inhabits him will never truly leave (unless he dies).
But like Gwynn for Matilda, Finn is already picking up the torch nicely.
I would like to add a PHWOAR! for Estrid, which I wouldn't have expected when this thread began.
Magog gets lots of points for being so obviously in love, even if he was sort of pathetic (in a lovable way) with his half-hearted attempt at offering pity sex, and his stressing over his potbelly and his gray chest hairs. Any man whose heart can SCREAM with longing obviously deserves a phwoar.
Yusuf gets some phwoar too lately.
AND YOUNG AED! Holy crap, how could I forget him.
Okay, okay, I stop now...
