Heehee, thanks everyone, and thanks for the 33 dancing bunnies, Pen, that's cuter than candles.

I took a bunch of pretty screenshots for my birthday, but my computer ated them. No seriously, I was halfway through shooting the Egelric Armageddon chapter when my computer froze, and when I rebooted I forgot to restart my screenshot program, so all my CTRL+ALT+C's from that point on were doing NOTHING. The (not-so-)funny thing is that the SAME THING happened to me when I shot the Lothere High pictures for Cassie's birthday, so no desktop pictures of flirty Gwynn for us. Something about birthdays?

Fortunately I do have some pre-Armageddon Egelric screenshots so here's my favorite... Egelric loved me enough to spontaneously do his dear hand-wringing walk when I sent him forth across the beach. (Either that or he knew what was awaiting him.)

I hope you had a "fun"tastic day with family and friends being wined and dined at your favourite restaurant in Victoria! It was a beautiful day for strolling the promenade at the Inner Harbour. I always loved people-watching from the benches outside the Rose Garden at the corner of the Empress.

Thanks again everyone! I am still getting caught up from the craziness* of the last couple of days. But the birthday was excellent: good food, good wine, good cake, good etc. (Especially the etc.)

The only disappointment was the discovery that the local high-end wine shop is not so high-end any more, at least insofar as they did not have a SINGLE BOTTLE of Beaujolais, not even the ubiquitous Morgon. I always get a Beaujolais for my birthday.

And they moved the whole section of French wines to the back of the store, as if France is now a Third World country of wines, on par with New Zealand. And apparently they are now hiring based on retail experience** instead of wine experience because one of the girls working in the shop did not even know what Beaujolais was. I cried a little inside. BUT I got a big bottle of Grand Marnier so I drank my cares away with orange-infused cognac.

Looks like someone is having a french hubby ! Good to now some American (Canadian ?) do appreciate French wine ! I'm not fond of Beaujolais, I prefer Chardonnay or a good Bordeaux, but Grand Marnier is good though (it's very Christmas like with the orange flavour !)
