“Whisht!” he said, and closed her mouth with a kiss.
Something Elfy (Lady clothes)

Yesterday I went shopping with my younger sister. We went past a shop it had some dresses in the window so I just looked at it for a moment saying "oh pretty". Still since it's the kind of shop I would just look at the window and go on walking through the streets... I was just about to do that when my sister told me: "let's go in it's a nice shop." I thought meh what do I have to do in a small shop with way to expansive dresses?
Anyway still went with her. Lucky me there was more than only dresses they also sold bags, make-up, perfume, shampoo, hair thingies... and some other cosmetics and girlie stuff.
But still just walking to the back we found even more beautiful dresses. I went all "this is so much something for elven princesses and fairy tales". It was so beautiful so I asked the shop owner if I was could take pictures of them. (They went to my inspi-files). I also thought I can so imagine the Lothere elf ladies in this too so I wanted to share it with you guys too... Maybe there is even someone who could make them for sims too or I'll try myself if I have a good mesh (although I've never really tried to actually make clothes).
I hope she won't be mad for sharing with you guys... All is handmade partly in Morocco partly here by the shop owner.
Prizes range between €150 to €1000..
that girl back there is my sister Sariah
The children dresses looked more like prom / ballroom dresses for little girls. Still beautiful but more like a modern princes so I probably won't post them.
And one I saw on ebay sometime while browsing...
What do you guys think? Elfy worthy or not?
small edit:

Submitted by Lothere on Wed, 01/27/2010 - 11:33.Wow, very elfy indeed! And they look a little shiny and stiff... just like our elven noble ladies wear. And there is something vaguely Asian about them, and yet not, which describes my elven costumes and furnishings pretty well. (Also, the "made in Morocco" part.)
I am curious.... WHEN would people expect to wear something like this? Are these basically costumes? Are they ethnically appropriate for some ethnicity I don't know about? Are they evening gowns? What?

Submitted by Miriam on Wed, 01/27/2010 - 13:16.Don't really know what they are for ... Maybe some use 'm as a wedding dress or something for formal parties or something like that. I have no idea only that we looked around and that it reminded me so much of fairytales and elven dresses (and I seriously thought aaah Lothere has to see). So I asked the lady of the shop if I could take some pictures. Partly and somewhat sadly they are a little bit shaken. Probably because I tried to get them full but I haven't found the zoom in/out button for photographs on my mobile phone yet (it's a new one) and the room was a bit small had to watch out not to bump into anything and knocking stuff over.
May aswell add the site for credits it's found on: A & R Designs
That site is not done so you won't see anything but I guess when they're done you can look at some more pretty dresses in this style...

Submitted by stacysaurus on Wed, 01/27/2010 - 19:15.The red dress one with the flowy jacket thing at the bottom is Chinese, from Tang Dynasty, I think (I don't know enough about my own culture's history and the fashion to really know what that style is called... sorry ) My mom really wanted to get me one of those for some reason but I really have nowhere to wear anything like that so I had to decline even though I secretly still wanted it, haha.
