Typing on Adobe Documents?

I was almost positive that it was possible to type on pdf files but I simply don't know how. Do any of you tech savvy people know how this is done?

There are PDFs that are
Submitted by Lothere on Mon, 04/05/2010 - 16:26.There are PDFs that are fill-in-the-blanks forms, but that has to be enabled by the creator of the document. And you can only type in the spaces that they enable as blanks in the form.
I am not really savvy about PDF files, but as a general rule I don't think it's really possible to modify them, or if you can, I guess you would need Adobe Acrobat software? (Not the reader... the creator.)

I've been googling and I guess you're right. Looks like I'm going to have to print it out and add attachments. I just hate when people make applications with two lines to type your entire resume. You risk either looking messy or unaccomplished.
