Medieval Sims

Hi I started a new Sims 2 medieval neighborhood legacy here: http://simsmedieval.wordpress.com/
So far I have put up the rules I plan to follow, the starting families, and the character bios for the peasant family. I plan to play by rotation and to have a more story focus. Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated. I plan to have the first rotation up by this weekend at the latest.

Your peasant sims are so

If you plan on more of a story focus then it looks like you are already following the most important advice I would have given: not too many characters! Three families seems like a good place to start. And I like how you have thought up a challenge for each family: surviving the winter in a family of two widows, finding good spouses for one's teenaged kids, and restoring the family fortunes. It looks like you are on a storytelling track already. Looks like fun!
Thank you I love John and

I think the hardest part was setting up how I was going to do this. I have tried RKC before and just got lost/bored with so many different families and rotations. I think with just three in the beginning will help me get into playing before I expand.
I added the first post:

Right now I am between two options:
1) Do posts in the following order= Peasant-June 1000, Merchant-July 1000, Noble-August 1000, etc.
2)Do posts in the following order= June 1000-->peasant, merchant, noble, July 1000-->peasant, merchant, noble
I am leaning to the first one as I feel I can follow this one better. Do you think it will be effective if I skip between families and months?
If you are leaning towards

I would say it depends on your storytelling style. If you want to "move through time" rather quickly, see kids grow up and new babies be born and so forth, then the first style is probably best.
But, depending on how many "rules" you want to set for yourself, you might consider simply dating chapters whenever you want. If you're really getting into the storytelling, sometimes a family won't have much happening for a few months, and sometimes a family will be busy and might need several posts in a row. It won't be fun trying to force yourself to write a chapter for a family simply because it's their turn, if you have all these exciting ideas for another family instead. That's how I got started. Pretty quickly my whole "taking turns" scenario broke down and I just started writing.
