Yes, Kraaia is still at Ffraid's. (As of early March, 1086, that is.)

She gets fairly frequent visits from Osh. Maybe not exactly once a week, but close. It's about a 3 hour ride. So Osh has to dedicate a day to the visit.

Probably Sigefrith thinks of useful errands to send him on, though. Once you're at Ffraid's it's just a twenty minute trot up to Raegiming. And I am sure he carries messages between Leila, Godefroy, and their children and friends. And Eadie and Wynflaed and everyone. Hmm. Osh's pockets are probably bulging with letters, sewing patterns, and pots of jam.

Anyway, as for Kraaia, she is learning about herbal lore from Ffraid. She is a clever and curious girl, so it's good for her. She was never going to be happy sitting around doing embroidery and polite-gossiping with the likes of Gwynn.

Frost had her pups at the beginning of February. Thus Kraaia has not seen them yet. Right now her future plans are not clear. She wants to be with those pups, so if she hasn't gone back to Osh's it means either (1) she really, really likes being with Ffraid, (2) Ffraid has totally brainwashed her into fear of going to live with an Unrelated Adult Male, (3) Kraaia has some serious Lena-related trauma that she doesn't want to go back and face, or (4) Osh's offer no longer stands, maybe because Flann doesn't want Kraaia around. Or perhaps it's some combination of all these, or other things I haven't mentioned.

I am not going to answer that now. Partly because I haven't totally decided yet. But mainly because the answer to that question will likely be an actual episode in Kraaia's story. Kraaia herself will have some deciding to do. Right now it's still possible for her to put off any decisions, because she's still too fragile to travel in the cold, or because the pups aren't weaned yet anyway, or whatever.

FYI, the pups are still too young for one of them to go with Osh on a visit. They're at about the age where they would start toddling out of their den, but they won't be fully weaned for another month or so.

And FYI 2, no, I don't know how many there are or anything about them because I haven't made them or added them to the database yet. There is more than one, and at least one of them is female, and that's the one Kraaia has her eye on, figuratively speaking. (I have also toyed with the idea of giving one to Finn. Congal's jaw would hit the floor if Finn showed up with an actual wolf.)

Now, the question I know you are all asking: What about Vash? I think it's possible he has visited Kraaia, but if so then only once or twice. I have the impression that Shus is going to discourage that friendship (and has been doing so all this time). Maybe Shus came back once (probably with Vash) to do some more healing, but if he did I am sure Vash knew he was being watched.

And Vash himself may have some conflicted feelings about her. (Because that's what future love stories are made of, right?)

At the moment Vash is too busy with Iylaine issues to be a pleasant companion to his toad-loving 12-year-old friend, anyway. Kraaia will pick up on those romantic woe-is-me vibes and start making choking sounds while pretending to gag herself with her finger. I don't think Vash's emo mystique works on her at all.

When will we see Kraaia again? I don't have anything special planned for her until that deciding-moment I mentioned above. March is going to be so busy with so many other people's stories (and BABIES!) that Kraaia gets to sit cozily on the back burner, heal a bit, and slow down the growing-up thing a bit. So right now I would expect it to be mid-April-ish.

I'm glad she's resting and healing and learning. I can think of no better place for her to be in at the moment. (Although I hope Ffraid isn't brainwashing her re: Osh and Shus and Vash too much. WE know Kraaia is safe with them, but Ffraid is not wrong to warn her, nonetheless.)

Anyway I'm happy that Kraaia is getting but I am worried what trauma she indureed while seeing her close friend being murdered by a maniac. Do you think Kraaia would ever see Benedict again? She acted very sisterly towards him last time.

Yes it would be very hard for her. She must miss Lena a whole lot.

I do, it doesen't seem that far fetch you know. He is lonely and his sex life is so dull. She is weird and wants children. Its not uncommon for elves of his station to have a mistress of her station. Something good can come out of that relationship ... Vash babies!! It doesen't even have to be long term. It would be interesting seeing them together. And Vash as a dad . Right now Kraaia is too young for such a relationship.
