I'm having problems switching my avatar; whenever I browse and then choose an image (and I made sure it fitted the requirements: 85x85, less than 30 kb) before pressing "Submit", Malcolm's blurry picture remains. I tried deleting it first and then not, and I tried switching to one of the avatars on the site (which worked) before I uploaded a different one, but every time I tried to upload the picture would still be blurry Malcolm. Am I doing something wrong?

If you hold down the shift

I refreshed the page and I can see your new avatar now. I think it's there; you just have the old one in your browser cache.

Submitted by Lothere on Fri, 05/06/2011 - 14:52.Oh yeah I forgot that rendered pages get cached on the server for a few hours on the story side. Otherwise my miniscule wimpy server would be overloaded due to all the database queries every time someone viewed a page.
I uncached http://www.lothere.com/chapter/1349 so you can see that your new avatar is actually working on the story side. It will just take a few hours for any previously cached pages to be expire from cache and be reloaded. Sorry about that. :-/
