If you were living in Lothere, what would you do?

OK, when I was in the chat talking to god knows who. (names escape me) This topic briefly reared its head. The question is simple enough. If you were in Lothere, what would you do?
I would get Magog and Rua back together (which would take a few years probably) steal Cat off Paul (no offence Paul) marry her and escape to Cornwall where I'd live out my days as a smuggler, possibly running into Eirik or any other pirates
Oh and I'd try and find Aengus someone else before I marry Cat.
This should be an interesting topic for a saturday night

Good luck trying to fix Magog up with anybody. And good luck trying to get Cat away from Paul!
What I would do first if I were teleported back to Lothere -- being a lady -- is make friends with Alred as soon as possible. He would defend me if anything got dangerous. Then I would feel things out from there.
A lost soul from a distant future would be just the sort of thing to intrigue Ralf so maybe I would cast my nets and try to catch him. A nice house, a kind and clever husband, lots of books and cats... it's probably the best I could do, as a mere woman.
I suppose the other option would be to go find Ffraid and become a healer. I'm no doctor, but what I know about medicine is still far ahead of what anyone in the 11th century knows. We would have an awesome track record as the healers who almost never kill people. (And being friends with Alred, hopefully I could avoid being burned as a witch!)
I like writing about the adventures of Sigi and Sadb but I would never want to live like them. Too scary.
Oh, and if I were friends with Alred I would definitely do my best to patch things up between him and Hetty.

If you'd asked this a couple of months ago, I would have said that the first thing I'd do would be to take Gwynn under my wing and give her a much-needed talk about the facts of life, but fortunately Meggie has taken care of that for us.
Anyway, if I had no option of returning... well, let's face it. I probably wouldn't last a second in a historical environment anyway, or not contentedly at least
So I would probably figure "What do I have to lose?" and do something high-risk like seeking out the khirron and trying to figure out what the hell is up with the whole kisor genocide thing. I'd probably get brutally slaughtered halfway through a rant, but honestly I don't think I could endure the life of a homemaker today, much less in the 11th century, so... *shrug*

I would do that until I got kicked out for talking nonsense in my 21st century English and was forced to do something unpleasant like plucking a chicken or gutting a fish or whatever.

When I mad enough money I would build a a spacious house and marry Lena. I also probably would have been great friends with Sela and Ralf. Most likely I would try to set Ralf up with someone. Kraaia would always be over my house because she's awesome. We would probably laugh at all of the funny things Gwynn says. I know I would pay Aia a visit and scold her for having Llen's child. And Gunnilda would be my honorary "mom" I would go to her house for sunday dinner. And Vash would be a close friend of mine as well. I would stay clear of Paul though since he has psycho tendencies. Also I would make Egelric make me the godfather to Wulf and Gils.
