'Unused picture from Murchad is let down by the rules'

“Murchad is let down by the rules” was originally intended to be much longer. In fact it was supposed to be two chapters, the second being the scene in Dublin Castle’s hall. (It even had a preview banner ready.)

Later I changed my mind and attempted to put them into one chapter. But once I started writing the scene in the hall, I realized that most of the tension left the chapter as soon as Murchad walked in, looked around, and figured out he was going to be king, like it or not. The rest of the chapter would have consisted of vain protests.

Therefore that whole scene got cut. We’ll see Murchad again soon, and we’ll learn any of the important things we missed.

However, unlike other piles of pictures that I have been forced to trash due to chapters not turning out the way I expected, these pictures actually happened. We just didn’t get to see them.

So I am posting some of the best ones here as outtakes. Look out for the awesome picture of Murchad the Hapless and Sadb the Mighty. You’ll know it when you see it. :-)
