I actually started this post a while back, then realized I'd have to take pictures, since I don't have any of just myself. And I have no digital camera on hand, so you get ugly webcam pictures

Aw... Devin, you look exactly how I expected you to, somehow. That's actually kind of creepy. Also, you have really long eyelashes. I didn't expect that. I always expect eyelashes to be shorter than they actually are. And wary stare at Lar? Adorable.

Pen: You have the coolest. hair. ever. Also, I love your expression in that butterfly picture. It's so... intent. And concentrated. And expressive.

Van: I really love your eyes. They're really pretty. Plus, their shape combined with your eyebrows, you look like you would have a really intense stare, should you try to stare (which one of my friends does, often. It gives me eye contact issues.) And I agree with Tiffany - there's definitely something kittenish about your face. Also, congratulations on graduating soon! I'm hitting that stage where I really want to get to graduation, soon, so I am currently writhing in envy.

Lothere: Somehow your camera and the angle and your eyelids and the walls combine to give you this really ethereal sort of look in this picture. It's pretty fantastic. Also, you have a really elegant nose. And, while I'm at it, purple is definitely a nice color on you

Oh my, Cassie, I also managed to not realize those pictures were of you somehow. But, to be kind of echoey: that cat-sweater-jacket thing of yours is, indeed, awesome, and I want one like it. Hoodies are pretty much half my wardrobe, anyways. Color-changing eyes are always cool, as well, and what is that furry thing in the background?

And you live in Paris, which ups you on the cool scale about ten notches. Plus, you can get crêpes in Paris, and even if they're silly fast food crêpes, they're still better than hot dogs, which I think you can get off the street in Paris anyways. Because as cool and multicultural as New York food can be, it's still not Paris.

Here I am! The picture is from November and my hair is a bit darker now. Also, my hair is really long and you can't tell that from the picture. Also, my eyes aren't usually that red.

In my head I have actually managed to keep people separate from their avatars for the most part. I'm having a slight problem adjusting Lili's face to Cassie's. (You seem a little more Emma-like actually.) But so many people have taken genderly- and ethnically-incorrect avatars it makes it easy.

Err, except for Devin. Whenever you take that one Sela avatar I can't help but imagine you as a very effeminate young Asian man with long hair and a dreamy smile. Sorry.

Speaking of Devin's facial expressions while reading, I should talk Mr. Lothere out of his camera phobia so he could take pictures of me writing. I tend to make quite hilariously exaggerated facial expressions reflecting the characters' emotions while I'm working on chapters. Worse than that, I also do it while I'm planning out chapters and dreaming up dialog on my walk to and from work. I get some WEIRD looks from passers-by at times. (In response to my own COMPLETELY INSANE looks I suppose.) Anyone else do that? Heh heh?

Wow, so many compliments ! Yesterday night, I saw a friend of mine that came back from NYC (she lives in Paris) and she told me that when you are French in NYC, your are God Almighty ! I would call that the French-Factor and I'll show you how it works for all of your comments. Because when you are French, it's "so romantic" !

Cassie, you say that I'm "just too cute for words" but that's only the French-Factor ! Living in Paris make me desirable for all American citizen (and I wonder why since you have Obama and we have Sarkozy...). But in Paris, I'm anonymous and nobody ever told me such a nice compliment, so thank you anyway.

The best crêpes are from Bretagne in the West of France where they were invented, but even if Paris' crêpes are fast-food ones, I eat them once or twice a week since I have to run from a place to place, and that's better than a Mac Donald's or a KFC. My friend that came back from NY also told me that the food was insufferable there and I know that would be the thing I would miss the most if I were to live in the US.

For Van who "wantsthose glasses", there are Puma from 2005. I think it's possible to find them on the net. In Paris, everybody wears plastic square glasses like those." A lot of people can't wear turtlenecks, but you wear it very well." I laughed so much discovering the wolrd "turtleneck" ! It's like the neck of a turtle and it's so like this clothe looks like. We call it a "col-roulé", which is far less poetic. And I don't wear it very often, but this photo is from December and it was really really cold in France this winter...
